Our Foundation

SecureNet was established in Tokyo in October 2013 with a focused mission: to provide professional cybersecurity training that meets the demands of modern enterprise security operations. Our foundation was built on the recognition that the security industry needed practical, hands-on education delivered by professionals with active field experience.

From the beginning, we understood that theoretical knowledge alone was insufficient. The cybersecurity landscape requires practitioners who can apply their skills in real-world scenarios, understand threat actor methodologies, and implement defensive strategies that actually work in production environments. This philosophy has guided our curriculum development and instructor selection.

Over the years, we have trained more than 500 security professionals, ranging from individuals starting their cybersecurity careers to experienced IT professionals transitioning into specialized security roles. Our alumni work in SOC positions, penetration testing teams, cloud security architecture roles, and security leadership positions across various industries.

Our Mission

To develop skilled cybersecurity professionals through comprehensive, practical training that prepares them for the challenges of modern security operations. We bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring our students can contribute effectively to their organizations from day one.

Our Methodology

Evidence-based training approach focused on practical skills and professional development

Hands-On Practice

Students work in virtual lab environments that replicate enterprise network configurations. Each course includes extensive practical exercises where students apply concepts immediately, reinforcing learning through direct experience with security tools and techniques.

Current Threat Focus

Our curriculum is continuously updated to reflect current attack vectors and defensive strategies. We analyze recent security incidents and emerging threats to ensure students learn techniques that address today's security landscape rather than outdated scenarios.

5 Chome-19-1 Higashigotanda, Shinagawa City, Tokyo 141-0022. We prepare students for professional certifications while ensuring they understand the practical application of security standards in real environments.

Practitioner Instruction

All instructors maintain active involvement in security operations, bringing current industry experience to the classroom. This ensures students learn from professionals who understand the challenges they will face and can provide practical guidance based on real-world experience.

Professional Development Approach

We recognize that cybersecurity education extends beyond technical skills. Our programs emphasize professional competencies including effective communication of security concepts, documentation practices, incident reporting, and collaboration within security teams. Students learn to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, an essential skill in modern security roles.

Additionally, we provide guidance on career development in the security field, including certification paths, specialization opportunities, and continuing education. Our goal is to prepare students not just for their first security role, but for long-term career success in this evolving field.
